Cylance helps Australians stay smart online

Cylance has announced an initiative to protect Australian families and small businesses with its Cylance Smart Antivirus software at no cost.

Supporting the nation’s annual Stay Smart Online Week, the company’s free 6-month license offer will be available to all Australians between 8 and 14 October 2018.

"Cyber security has become increasingly important for all Australians, particularly with the recent introduction of data protection regulations under the Privacy Act and the rise in high profile data breaches making news headlines," said Jason Duerden, Country Manager, Australia and New Zealand, at Cylance.

“Spreading the Stay Smart Online Week message, encouraging the public to take cyber security seriously, has never been more important.”

Cylance Smart Antivirus is an AI-generation software designed to proactively predict and block never-before-seen threats to help keep personal data secure.

"Data and information are at risk like never before, and any person on any device is a target for cyber attacks that range from malware to phishing to ransomware," said Christopher Bray, general manager of Cylance Consumer.

"Many people are vulnerable because they don’t have the resources or tools to understand and stop the latest online threats. It is our hope that the free offer to the public will give all Australians peace of mind and ease of use by extending the enterprise-grade artificial intelligence of CylancePROTECT to personal devices.”
