If you expected HyperX to break from their tradition of serving up cheaper alternatives to Razer products, CES 2019 might leave you disappointed.

“There’s nothing like CES to put a spotlight on the HyperX commitment to delivering high-performance gaming products for all levels of gamers,” said Mark Leathem, vice president, HyperX.

First up, if you're looking for a suave alternative to Razer's button-heavy Naga hardware, HyperX's new Pulsefire Raid RGB mouse is probably going to fit the bill. The new mouses features 11 programmable buttons, Omron switches, a Pixart 3389 sensor and support for up to 16000 DPI.

As with their other products, the lighting on the Pulsefire RGB Raid can be customized using HyperX's NGenuity software. You can also create and assign macro function to the programmable keys on the peripheral.

No word yet on Australian availability and pricing. However, in the US, the Pulsefire Raid RGB will land in Q2 for US$59.

HyperX also used CES to talk up their counterpart to Razer's Seiren microphones: the HyperX Quadcast.

Firmly pitched at content creators, the HyperX Quadcast is an electret condenser microphone and features an anti-vibration shock mount, an easily-accessible gain control dial, four selectable polar patterns and tap-to-mute functionality.

The top of the Hyper Quadcast will light up to indicate when the microphone is and isn't on. However, the color can't be customized and it doesn't integrate with NGenuity.

As with the Pulsefire Raid, there's no word on Australian availability and pricing for the HyperX Quadcast. However, in the US market, the microphone will hit shelves in March with a pricetag of US$139.
