Navman releases 2018 MiVUE Dash Cam range

Navman has unveiled its 2018 MiVUE dash cam range.

The first three devices released in the line up of four are the MiVUE 740, the MiVUE 790 WIFI and MiVUE 800 Dual Camera.

“Not all dash cams are created to the same standard as ours,” said Wendy Hammond, General Manager of Navman ANZ.

“When you buy a low quality dash cam you can run the risk of important details being missed. You don’t want to wait until you make an insurance claim or police report to find out that you don;;t have clear footage that captures a number plate or enough information about the direction and speed of the impact.”

“All Navman MiVUE dash cams come with top quality features as standard, and our higher end models have a few more capabilities that offer extra assurance and convenience. For instance, the MiVUE 790 WIFI offers extra peace of mind on the go with Ezyshare via WIFI. You can view or email video footage immediately or upload to social media sites via the free MiVUE Pro App on your smartphone. So if someone drove off after an accident, you could post it immediately and ask, “do you know this car”? And it's not just for bad times, the MiVUE Pro app makes it really easy to share anything you see that’s interesting, useful, beautiful or funny too,” added Ms Hammond.

The MiVUE790 has camera alerts for up-to-date warnings of upcoming cameras. These visual and audible alerts will go off based on your driving speed.

Standard features across all models are 2.7” LCD screens, GPS tagged videos and a 3-Axis G sensor that records direction of travel, location, vehicle speed and the G-Force of an impact. Parking mode records what does on around the car when users are away from it.

They also feature a rotating design, Full HD 1080p cameras with glass lenses and a 130 degree wide angle lens  to capture more detail.

The MiVUE 790 WIFI and 800 Dual Cam have headlight reminder, prompts to turn your lights on in dim surroundings, and a driver fatigue alert reminders take a break after two hours continuous driving.

All devices are compatible with microSD cards up to 128GB and come with a one-year warranty.
