The first Samsung Windows Phone to launch in New Zealand, the Samsung Omnia W, will be available through Vodafone in late November. It will run Windows Phone 7.5, code-named 'Mango'.

The Omnia W has a 3.7-inch SuperAMOLED display with an 800 by 480 pixel resolution.
It also has a 1.4GHz processor, the most powerful processor in a Windows Phone on the New Zealand market. The HTC 7 Trophy has a 1GHz processor.
The Omnia W can play and record video at 720p and has a 5MP rear-facing camera, as well as a front-facing camera.
It has 512MB RAM and 8GB internal memory. However the Omnia W cannot take any kind of SD card.
The phone will include a set of Samsung applications, including apps for DLNA, video calling, and ebooks.
Pricing has not yet been announced for the device.
