CES: Samsung unveils curved OLED TV

Samsung has unveiled what it calls the 'world's first' curved OLED TV at the Consumer Electronic Show in Las Vegas.

Samsung has unveiled what it calls the "world's first" curved OLED TV at the Consumer Electronic Show in Las Vegas.

The company says the curved panel creates a "more immersive viewing experience" because it can create a panorama effect that other TVs cannot.

"We will continue our tradition of [innovating] by steadily introducing new TV technology that helps enhance the lives of users, even beyond the world's first curved OLED TV,” said HS Kim, executive vice president of visual display at Samsung.

The TV currently on display at Samsung's CES booth has a 55-inch screen. While further information is scarce at present, PC World will update this story as we hear more.
