Kim Dotcom refused bail
Kim Dotcom, founder of the file sharing site Megaupload has been refused bail and will be remanded in custody until February 22.
Computerworld Staff | Wednesday, January 25 2012Kim Dotcom, founder of the file sharing site Megaupload has been refused bail and will be remanded in custody until February 22.
Judge David McNaughton delivered his decision this morning at the North Shore District Court, following a bail hearing on Monday.
Dotcom, along with chief marketing officer Finn Batato, Mathias Ortmann, chief technical officer, Ortmann and Bram van der Kolk, programmer, were arrested on Friday by police who executed provisional arrest warrants requested by the United States Department of Justice.
Dotcom's three co-accused are now facing a bail hearing today.
